<b>Understanding Biological Filtration</b><p> The outdoor pond bio-filter is a living breathing entity and must be treated as such in order to optimize its purification potential.<p> Try and think of the bio-filter as a house and food source for a family. As in any living organism, basic living requirements can allow the organism to survive but in order for that same organism to thrive and be performing at it's maximim potential, understanding and fulfilling of many life giving criteria should be understood and applied.<p> In laymen's terms, if you want your bio-filter to be working at peek efficiency, you must provide the perfect home so that the perfect family will move in. The perfect family, in this case, is a group of bacteria, which is very good at taking the toxins from fish waste and converting them into non-toxic forms and food. <b>Since 1938, these rugged sprinklers have been built to last. The Walking Sprinkler creeps along on cast iron wheels, using the hose as its track.</b><p> The Walking Sprinkler can be set at high speed (40 ft/hr, putting down about 1/2" of water); low speed (20 ft/hr, putting down about 7/8" of water) or be used as a stationary sprinkler. The adjustable sprinkler arms provide water spray coverage from 4 feet up to 50 feet wide over the entire length of the hose.<p>To use, lay your hose through the middle of the area needing water, gentle curves around bushes, trees and corners. A 5/8" hose is best as 1/2" hose may be to small to guide the sprinkler around some corners.

Compactstar electrically driven, cold fogging machine for efficient combatting of insects, pests, fungus diseases, viruses and bacteria. The cold fogging machine is driven by an electrical motor. An oil and maintenance free low pressure rotary pump produces an air stream of high velocity being accelerated in the swirl vance of the nozzle system. This air stream causes suction in the solution pipe and conveys the chemical solution which is atomized into the finest aerosol droplets at the nozzle system. The low pressure system allows the use of a nozzle system with relatively large dimensions. Thus wettable powder suspensions can be applied without the danger of nozzle blocking.
